About Me

I am Anne (pronounced Annie). It is nice to meet you!

Here’s a little bit about me: Spending time in Mother Nature keeps me sane. Hiking and road-trips are my two favorite things in life. I also enjoy kayaking, camping, and snowboarding. I love exploring everything from National Parks to little hidden wonders. So far, I have been to 18 National Parks. I always have a trip (or four) in the works. I enjoy planning a trip almost as much as I love going on the trip, but I am also learning the importance of going with the flow. Some of my favorite adventures were spur of the moment ideas.

My travel companions include, but are not limited to: my boyfriend Shawn; our Siberian Husky Niko; my parents; my best friends Jess and Lizzie; and other members of Women Who Hike.

My adventure-mobile of choice is Addie, my 2016 Toyota 4Runner. She turned 2 years old on December 11th and we’ve already gone on over 40,000 miles worth of adventures. When I’m not driving around the country to see the view, I’m exploring the view from my own backyard, Indiana.

My travel goals for 2018 include:

  1. Great Smoky Mountain National Park – March
  2. Colorado – July
  3. Shenandoah and Congaree National Parks – Fall
  4. Wish List – Phoenix, AZ

I hope you enjoy my stories! I update my Bucket List regularly, so if you have any recommendations please let me know!
