I first heard about www.bringfido.com from a couple at Radium Hot Spring in Colorado in March, but I didn’t have an excuse to try it out till October.
BringFido.com is a website that shows only dog friendly hotels, restaurants, and activities. Using BringFido is so much easier than having to scour hotel websites trying to figure out if they allow pets. It lists pet policies right on the hotel’s profile so you know right away if a pet fee is required and what size dog is allowed. It also shows reviews from other pet owners who have staid at that particular hotel, so you can see if the hotel is pet friendly by policy only or if the staff enjoys having four-legged guests. If you book directly through BringFido, their “Canine Concierge” will make sure you are given a pet friendly room. They do not charge a booking fee.
When Shawn and I were planning a trip to Cuyahoga Valley National Park, we wanted to take Niko with us, but we didn’t feel like camping. So I used BringFido.com to find a hotel near the National Park. We ended up staying at the La Quinta Inn & Suites Cleveland Macedonia for 2 nights and loved it. The staff was very friendly and our room smelled clean.
