Cuyahoga Valley NP: Blue Hen Falls

Blue Hen Falls is a very pretty waterfall at Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Like Brandywine and Bridal Veil Falls it is pretty easy to get to from the trail-head parking lot. It is just a short half mile jaunt to the falls.

The Blue Hen Falls parking lot is located off of Boston Mills Road, which was partially closed when Shawn and I visited. You could take the detour and still park at the trail-head, but we chose not to. We decided to park at the Boston Store Visitor Center overflow lot and walk up the road to the trail-head. Another option is to hike the Buckeye Trail from the Visitor Center to the falls. This option is 2.4 miles round-trip. I would recommend hiking from the Boston Store Visitor Center to Blue Hen Falls due to the limited parking at the trail-head, if visiting on the weekend and you are in the physical shape to tackle a couple hills. The parking lot for Blue Hen Falls trail-head is not very big and fills up on weekends.
