Moab, UT

Moab, Utah is a funky little town in the middle of the desert. There’s a bunch of little shops, great food, and it is just minutes from Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, and Dead Horse Point State Park.

When Shawn and I visited Arches and Canyonlands in March 2017 we staid at the Virginian Motel in Moab. Originally, we were planning on bringing Niko with us so we needed somewhere dog friendly to sleep. Then we realized that the two National Parks we were wanting to visit were not dog friendly so he ended up staying with friends in Colorado. The Virginian Motel is really clean and the owners are really nice. You will probably meet their dogs when you check in. The motel located less than a block off Main Street making it easy to walk to dinner and to check out the shops.

We enjoyed eating at Zax Restaurant for dinner. I had pasta and Shawn had chicken tenders. They also have a pizza and salad bar that looked really good.

On a previous trip, a friend and I ate at the Peace Tree Juice Cafe, twice. We liked our lunch so much that we went back for dinner.

Shawn says Moab Coffee Roasters has good coffee – all I can say is it smelled good. I don’t like the taste of coffee.
